Site acquired

 

HADSCAL purchases the Forest Road site. Two football pitches are developed over the following years, along with floodlighting and a stand for Hay St Mary's Football Club.

Football club secured

 

A 25-year lease is agreed with Hay St Mary's FC, giving the club a permanent home on the main floodlit pitch and planning permission for their own new changing facilities.

Pre-application advice

 

HADSCAL submits a pre-application enquiry to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. The response is broadly encouraging, confirming the principle of development is supportable subject to detailed design work.

£200,000 approved

 

Powys County Council votes unanimously to release funding from the historic Brecknockshire reserve for design, surveys and the full planning application. Hay Town Council backs the project. Work begins in earnest.

Growing space opens

 

The first vegetable beds are placed on site and the community begins growing produce.

Full planning application

 

CO2 Architects and TTP Consultancy complete the design work, surveys and supporting documents. We are aiming to submit a full planning application to the National Park Authority for determination by the end of the year.

Planning decision

 

The National Park Authority considers the application. The local community has the opportunity to comment as part of the formal consultation process.
